PTSD and Cannabis
To date most of the evidence surrounding veterans using medical cannabis has been anecdotal, Avail Cannabis Clinics is proud to support our heroes by conducting many forms of studies surrounding the benefits of medical cannabis. You are not alone, over 10,000 Canadian Military Veterans are now using Medical Cannabis for various conditions such as PTSD and Chronic Pain.
Did you know that 68% of Veterans are using prescription drugs, some with limited success and potentially harmful side effects?
In Canada, it is estimated that 10% of our warzone Veterans ( including war service and peacekeeping forces ) will eventually experience a chronic condition referred to as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder PTSD, while others may just experience some of the associated symptoms.
What is PTSD? PTSD is a psychological response to a traumatic experience or event.
Life-threatening experiences are the most common cause and this can affect all of mankind
PTSD can be temporary or permanent as we are all different
